Youth Ministry

Next Generation

The Next Generation Youth Ministry exists to equip and empower young people, ages 11-18, to grow in their faith, develop their unique gifts, and boldly live out their purpose in Christ. We are dedicated to creating an environment where youth can discover their identity as sons and daughters of God, embracing the truth that they are fearfully and wonderfully made.

Through interactive teachings, worship, outreach, and fellowship, we aim to foster a space where youth are not only encouraged but are also challenged to walk confidently in their identity in Christ, understanding their worth, calling, and place in God's Kingdom. Our ministry is built on helping youth navigate the challenges they face, teaching them to overcome obstacles and temptations, and empowering them to stand firm in the truth of who they are in Christ.

By building a community of support, mentorship, and accountability, we strive to raise up the next generation of leaders—youth who are grounded in their faith, secure in their identity, and prepared to impact the world for Christ. We believe that when youth understand who they are in Christ, they will confidently walk in their calling, impacting their families, schools, and communities with the love of Jesus.

Opportunities to Serve

Volunteers are the backbone of our ministry, and we are excited to have you join our team! Your involvement is crucial in helping us create a positive, impactful environment for the youth. Below, you will find a brief description of the expectations and requirements to ensure that our gatherings are a success.

Please note: One of the requirements to volunteer with the Next Generation Youth Ministry is that you must be a member of the City of Refuge Church. This ensures that all volunteers are aligned with the vision and values of our ministry as we serve together to build a strong community for the youth.

Additionally, all volunteers and leaders must have completed Personal Ministry at the City of Refuge before serving in any capacity within the youth ministry. This ensures that all team members are spiritually grounded and equipped to minister effectively, guiding the youth in their faith journey.

While we strive to place volunteers in the roles they request, please understand that placement is based on the current needs of the ministry. For example, not all volunteers who sign up for specific roles, like teaching or leadership, may be assigned to those roles. We may need to place you in a different area depending on the needs of the ministry. We appreciate your flexibility and willingness to serve wherever the need is greatest.

Thank you for your willingness to help us make a lasting impact on the next generation! We look forward to partnering with you to empower and equip the youth to walk in their identity in Christ.
