Women's Ministry

Women of POwer

Meetings are on the third Saturday of the month
10:00 A.M - 12:00 P.M.

The Women of Power Ministry exists to empower women to grow deeply in their relationship with God, to walk confidently in their God-given purpose, and to impact the world around them. We are committed to growing together in the Word, as we seek to build each other up in unity and love, reflecting the life and heart of Christ. Through monthly fellowship, encouragement, and mutual support, we create an environment where women can thrive spiritually, emotionally, and relationally.

We are called to reach beyond the walls of our church, making a lasting impact on the women of the City of Refuge and those in our community. As we live out our purpose, guided by the truth of Ephesians 2:10, we are reminded that we are God’s masterpiece, created for good works that He prepared in advance for us to do. Our ministry is one of outreach, service, and transformation—where women discover their unique calling, walk in boldness, and support one another in fulfilling the plans God has for their lives.

Through prayer, worship, and community engagement, we strive to leave a legacy of faith, hope, and love, sowing seeds that will grow for generations to come. We are a powerful sisterhood, united in Christ, making a difference in our church, our families, and our community, for His Kingdom and glory.

Opportunities to Serve

Volunteers are the backbone of our events, and we are excited to have you join our team! Below, you will find a brief description of each volunteer role, as well as expectations and requirements to ensure our gatherings are a success.

Please note: One of the requirements to volunteer with Women of Power is that you must be a member of the City of Refuge Church. This helps ensure that all volunteers are aligned with the vision and values of our ministry as we serve together to build a strong community of women.

While we strive to place volunteers in the roles they request, please understand that placement is based on the current needs of the ministry. For example, not all volunteers who sign up for the Worship Team may be assigned to that team, and we may need to place you in a different area depending on the needs of the event. We appreciate your flexibility and willingness to serve wherever the need is greatest.

Commitment Expectations

  • Punctuality: Volunteers are expected to arrive on time to ensure everything runs smoothly.
  • Faithfulness: We ask that you commit to serving in your area of responsibility, ensuring that you honor your role and help create a welcoming and organized atmosphere.
  • Service Frequency: We encourage multiple women to volunteer on each team, so you can rotate and serve on a bi-monthly basis, making it manageable for everyone.
